Billing Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk based in LaPorte, Texas. This role is within the oil and gas industry and requires the expertise of someone with a background in accounting and billing functions. You will be expected to review contracts, reconcile reports and balance within the track, particularly in the context of turnaround processes.Responsibilities: Review and analyze contracts, especially those related to lump sum and time and material (T& M Billing). Reconcile reports to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data. Balance within the track to ensure all financial elements are properly accounted for. Utilize Accounting Software Systems to efficiently manage and organize financial data. Leverage Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data management and reporting purposes. Oversee billing functions to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. Administer claims and resolve any issues that arise during this process. Implement collection processes when necessary to handle delinquent payments. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Billing Functions Experience with Claim Administration Understanding of Collection Processes Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment High attention to detail and accuracy in all work Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions Excellent customer service skills with a focus on maintaining positive relationships with clients and staff.
