We are currently hiring for a Mechanics helper in our shop. This position involves assisting experienced mechanics with various tasks repairing and maintaining motorized power equipment and vehicle repair. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record. (for insurance purposes)
Job Duties:
. Knowledge of vehicle and motorized lawn equipment repair.
. Basic preventive maintenance on vehicles (oil changes, tire rotation, battery checks and fluid top- ups)
. Help with disassembly and reassembly of vehicle and lawn equipment components, replacing parts, and assisting chief mechanic with more complex repairs.
. Performing basic diagnostics on vehicles and motorized power equipment under the guidance of a mechanic and report findings.
. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
. Perform routine and non- routine tasks servicing motorized lawn equipment.
. Clean and Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
. Drive vehicles in and out of shop for repairs.
. Assist construction and mowing crews with vehicle or power equipment maintenance at start of shift.
Requirements:
. At least 2 years experience working in a mechanic shop as a helper or apprentice.
. Must be at least 21 years of age (for insurance purposes) with a valid drivers license.
. Must have mechanical aptitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
. Able to follow instructions from senior mechanics.
. Communicate effectively with team members regarding service updates and vehicle status.
. Able to work alone and exceed deadlines.
. Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
. Must be physically able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and stand throughout the day.
. Bilingual is a Plus.

Starting pay is 18+ (depending on experience)
