Position Information Position Title Vice Chancellor, Instruction and Workforce Education Department Administration Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus FLSA Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Summary of Position Serve as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet with executive responsibility to provide management and evaluation of instruction programs. Supervise the Dean Academic Instruction, Dean Career and Technical Instruction, Dean Service Area, Adult and Workforce Education, and Dean, Military Operations to plan, manage and evaluate workforce education functions that support the accomplishment of the District’s Mission, Vision, Core Values and the continuation of the District’s accreditation status. Has overall responsibility for services provided by these areas.Minimum Required Education Doctorate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution of higher education required.Minimum Required Experience Five years of full-time wage earning post-secondary education senior management experience at the Executive Officer, Dean or Senior Administrator level or ten years of full-time wage earning post-secondary education experience as a Department Chair.Three years of post-secondary teaching experience required.Preference will be given to candidates with community college executive level administrative and/or community college experience.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Established commitment to the principles of higher education.

Comprehensive knowledge of community college administration. Ability to remain current with educational trends, issues and challenges for community colleges.

Knowledge of Texas and federal laws and regulations related to education in general and community colleges specifically.

Knowledge of Southern Association Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges accrediting standards.

Experience planning, developing, and implementing goals and objectives.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail, deadlines and making decisions.

Experience managing and supervising personnel.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience conducting presentation, workshops, or public speaking.

Experience using or integrating technology in higher education.

Experience with online degree programs.

Experience evaluating instructional effectiveness against measurable performance indicators.

Experience improving teaching and learning with a focus on achieving measurable student success indicators

Experience working with area businesses, industry, public schools, colleges and universities, and state and federal government.

Experience developing and executing budgets.

Demonstrated success in preparing and implementing grant proposals.

Ability to use logic, experience and knowledge to evaluate information and problem situations.

Experience implementing and managing contracts and collaborative agreements.

Providing leadership at all levels of the College.

Salary Commensurate with experience

Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thu 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30
