The instructor’s duties and responsibilities are teaching students and performing a variety of administrative duties.Minimum Required Education Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required. Must possess a valid NRA ServSafe Certificate.Minimum Required Experience Five years of food service or industry-related experience required. Culinary team member and past teaching experience (hospitality and culinary-related courses) will reflect positively upon the applicant’s resume.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be punctual, dependable and have the ability to follow directions and proficiently complete tasks.
Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact with students during course lectures and food demonstration phases.
Must possess a basic understanding of the skills and knowledge related to all hospitality, culinary arts and baking related program courses.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Demonstrates skills in instruction and facilitation before large and small groups.
Demonstrates planning and organization skills.
