Position Information Position Title Clerk I Protective Services FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Full Time Department Protective Services Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Hourly Rate 9.43 Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - Mon-Thur 7:30-5:30 Fri 7:30-11:30 Summary of Position This job is a part-time position that aides the, Program Coordinator, Police Academy and the Department Chair in departmental tasks. The incumbent will perform administrative/clerical work and work closely with the Police Academy Coordinator and other Police Academy instructors to contribute to the success of Police Academy cadets, the department, and CTC .Minimum Required Education High school diploma or GED required; Some college credit; Preference related to Criminal JusticeMinimum Required Experience Six months wage earning experience in the clerical field is preferred; One year office administration in Criminal Justice background is preferredRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with researching, formatting, and preparing reports using Microsoft Word software;

Proficiency in preparing spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel;

Must demonstrate strong English written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;

Demonstrated ability to work quickly and with accurately;

Ability to interact effectively well under pressure;

Ability to interact effectively with the public and with all levels of employees;

Ability to interact effectively well under pressure.
