Seeking an On-Call Substitute
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the preparation of the environment.
- Supporting the guide.
- Work with children as directed by the guide. Perform any special tasks assigned by the guide.
- Observe the childrens behavior and communicate these observations to the guide.
- Give full conscious attention to each encounter with a child.
- Treat all children with dignity and respect and without preferences.
- Use positive phrasing and discipline.
- Make every effort to be available when called.
- Maintain current pediatric CPR, First Aid, and required training to work with children as outlined by The State of Texas Childcare Licensing.
The ideal candidate will come with a basic awareness of Montessori activities or be open to acquiring knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and a love for children.
Education and Qualifications: Must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or its equivalent and have childcare experience.
