We’re very excited about what we see in front of us, and we think you will be too – so come join the team!Lab TechnicianThe Lab Technician is responsible for accurate sample analysis, data entry and interpretation of data. Additionally, you will perform the daily operations of the Quality Labs including all quality testing, auditing, and inspection activities in order to assure quality of product.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain a safe and clean work area.Ensure that the laboratories are always “tour ready”Daily data entry of test results and quality projectsData interpretation of testingOrganize areas for testing and test sample storageManage all laboratory related supplies ensuring proper storage and maintaining adequate inventory levelsListen to and follow work requirements as instructedPerform hands on lab testing of sand samples per test instructionsFamiliarity with: Sieve testing, crush tests and turbidity testingCommunicate quality-problems to plant management. Analyzing, identifying and communicating problematic trends, e.g. recurring first pass issuesWork on projects with minimum supervisionKeep accurate records of test resultsPrepare reports or memos on assigned tasks or projectsMaintain lab equipment in good operating conditionsFollow internal test standardsAttend all company provided training programsComplete all additional tasks and projects as assigned by plant managementQualifications: High School Diploma or GED required Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management 4-year degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Control position or lab, preferred Self-motivated, goal-oriented and driven towards continuous improvementPhysical Demands:Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearRequired to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit and climb or balanceMust regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusCapable of working a rotating shift, 14 on 7 off rotating between days and nightsMust be able to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning or heatWhat You’ll Love About Us:Best People and Great Places to Work, Hire Vets ,Top Place to Work For – Austin American StatesmanYour Well-Being is a 100% covered Medical, Dental, and VisionInvest in Your 401K with company match, immediate vesting
