Payroll Clerk

Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Payroll Clerk position in Katy, Texas. The role involves managing payroll for hourly contractors, ensuring compliance with state guidelines, and resolving issues. This role requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in various payroll systems.Responsibilities: Administering payroll for hourly 1099 contractors, ensuring accurate calculation of straight time and overtime. Resolving payroll-related issues internally and with contractors, ensuring smooth operations and satisfaction. Generating ACH payments, ensuring contractors are paid accurately and on time. Conducting research as needed to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure compliance with state guidelines. Running and maintaining reports for senior leadership, providing insight into payroll operations. Utilizing NetSuite software to enhance payroll processing and record keeping. Leveraging Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze payroll data. Ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation for all payroll activities. Monitoring contractor accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and best practices.Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Payroll Clerk role or similar Proficiency in Payroll administration and multi-state Payroll management Experience in managing In-House Payroll is required Ability to handle Manual Payroll processes Experience in handling Payroll for over 500 employees is preferred Must be able to process Multi-State Payroll Proficiency in using Payroll processing software Experience with NetSuite is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
