JOB SUMMARYPerform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring
constant supervision of technical detail; perform technical procedures
that require independent judgment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation
for radiologic diagnosis.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
Satisfactory completion of radiologic technology program in an AMA
approved school. Current CPR certification.
Experience:
Minimum one to two years preferred.
Registry:
Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) required.
Licensure:
Current State of Texas license.
Communication Skills:
Able to read, write and speak English.
ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS
Adjusts X-ray equipment to correct setting for each examination,
positions and instructs patients, and determines proper exposure
factors for each radiograph.
Operates mobile X-ray equipment and equipment in surgery properly.
Uses proper safety standards and radiation protection devices.
Under direction of Radiologist, administers contrast media of
different kinds for evaluation of internal organs and systems.
Assists in performing first aid and CPR as necessary.
Attends all in-services and meetings as required.
Abides by the HMH Legal Compliance Code of Conduct.
Maintains a safe work environment and reports safety concerns
appropriately.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
