We are a law firm that provides high-quality legal services to clients in various areas of practice. We are looking for a proofreader to join our team and ensure that our legal documents are flawless before they are filed or delivered.
As a proofreader, you will be responsible for :
Reviewing and editing legal documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style errors
Providing feedback and suggestions to improve the accuracy and clarity of the documents
Ensuring that the documents follow the specific legal style and format required by the firm or the court
Collaborating with lawyers, paralegals, and managers to meet deadlines and quality standards
Staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in legal writing and proofreading
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A keen eye for detail and accuracy
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Adobe Acrobat
Knowledge of various legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, etc.
