Our company is in need of someone who is proficient in PHP, My SQL, and also Javascript/Java. We have ongoing updates to our websites that are needed and to test your skills we are encountering an error with an internal script that uses PHPMailer. This script worked perfectly until we moved to another server and upgraded from RHEL 7+ to Cloud Linux 8. The website in question runs on PHP 8.2.16 and it was running on PHP 8.2.16 before the move. The error is listed below.
Fatal error: Uncaught PHPMailer\PHPMailer\Exception: SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host. Failed to connect to server in /var/www/vhosts.
The SMTP host in this case is an external mail server we use to send outgoing mails. The company is Socket Labs. We have also checked our own SMTP thinking it was a propagation issue, but our SMTP server can be reached via ping and all DNS settings have been triple checked. Again, this email function was working perfectly before we moved to a new dedicated server with a new hosting provider.
We are also looking for a server administrator that is very proficient in Cloud Linux 8/Apache/nginx operating on a Plesk control panel and it would be great if your skills also included PHP/MySQL, etc.
