Job Description:
Precision DPF Services (www.precisiondpf.com) is a specialized provider of diesel particulate filter cleaning services located in the Katy, TX area. We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Shop Assistant/Front Sales Desk Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with inquiries by advising them on our DPF cleaning process, services, costs, and value add to their vehicle and business. Additionally, you will assist in , processing sales transactions, and assisting in the cleaning process as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in deciding on their service
- Answer customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
- Process transactions accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain an organized and tidy workspace, including shelves, displays, and the front desk area
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding sales, returns, and exchanges
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in or with a diesel repair shop is extremely valuable.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic math skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
