As part of our expansion, we are looking for a skilled Dispatcher to join our team and help us maintain a steady workflow while optimizing operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate hot shot deliveries within Houston and surrounding areas.
Maintain communication with drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Optimize routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, shippers, and customers to secure consistent work.
Utilize dispatch software and load boards like Truckstop or DAT to identify new opportunities.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Provide excellent customer service and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a dispatcher in the logistics or transportation industry, preferably with hot shot services.
Knowledge of Houston and surrounding areas' geography and traffic patterns.
Familiarity with dispatch software, load boards, and TMS systems.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Understanding of DOT regulations and Hours of Service rules is preferred.
