We are an independent service provider for FedEx Ground. Our team is responsible for delivering and picking up FedEx Ground packages throughout the Houston area. We are currently hiring full time and part time drivers at the Baytown location to service Deer Park and Pasadena areas. The work days available are Monday - Sunday. Great pay opportunities.
Pay is $750-$900/per week for a beginner route depending on whether working 5 or 6 days. Job expectation is 120-130 stops per day average or $1.20 per stop. Larger routes are available.
BONUS PAY - Drivers receive additional pay per stop after hitting weekly threshold.
This job is physically and mentally demanding, fast paced and requires integrity, organization and high energy. Drivers must be safe, organized, show up to work daily, possess excellent customer service skills, be professional, detail-oriented, a team player and enjoy driving and delivering.
If you do not have FedEx experience, training is available. The rate is $15/hour while training. Training for a home delivery route is typically 5 days and then driver pay.
Minimum Requirements: Class C driver's license. Driver must be at least 21 years of age, pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check, pass a drug screening test and DOT physical exam and have one year experience driving a 16 foot box truck (minimum) or larger or other commercial truck vehicle. Driver must possess excellent customer service skills, be able to complete daily deliveries and pickups and be able to lift and carry up to 150 lbs up and down stairs.
Experience Needed: One verifiable year of commercial driving experience within the past three years; five years verifiable commercial driving experience within the past ten years. Or, a successful completion of a vendor driving school plus six months verifiable commercial driving experience within the previous three years. NO CDL needed.
