We are seeking an entry-level Production Planner to join our rapidly growing design and production team. The production planner is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the production process. Duties include a specific focus on the materials and goods required in the production phase or sales orders, ensuring the work instructions and job routers are issued correctly for optimal performance. The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating onsite work with the engineering teams, designers, purchasing/requisitions, and special project team personnel, as well as working alongside production management staff. The successful Production Planner will ensure that projects are completed safely and accurately, and in a timely manner to meet customer and shipping goals.

Manage the after-sales order or project work-flow plan process to ensure accurate and timely completion of production goals

Coordinate with engineering and design teams to ensure all resulting work orders are in compliance with requirements

Strict compliance and enforcement of all ISO, QA, contractual, and client requirements

Read and understand technical drawings, schematics

Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay

Managing the development of the manufacturing instruction package (Drawing, routing, work instructions etc.)

Produce accurate job/shop routings and ‘made-to-order job instructions’ that will directly impact the production processes

Coordinate work with and directly communicate with multiple disciplines including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, welders, and other production staff

Qualifications:

High School diploma

Familiarity with machine shop, working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment

Production Planning or Scheduling experience

Understanding of purchasing/requisition in a manufacturing environment preferred

Excellent technical communication skills, verbal and written

Understanding of: ASME codes and NDT processes, understanding of GD&T and/or welding symbols

Self-driven initiative to respond to fluid work environment and rapidly changing priorities

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Enthusiastic team player, Creative thinker, focus on bottom-line results while managing for Total Quality Assurance Compliance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer other than current employer

Must be fluent in English with ability to communicate highly technical terms/ideas; any other language skills are beneficial]

This is primarily a sedentary position, but does require the physical ability to work in a busy shop environment including sitting, standing, lifting/moving up to 20 pounds, infrequently.
