As a Welder/Mechanic, you’ll use your expertise to fabricate, repair, and maintain vital process piping and mechanical systems across the facility. You’ll work with a variety of metals, from stainless and carbon steel to aluminum and copper, ensuring every weld meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

This position is looking for significant 6G welding experience.

This is a hands-on, team-oriented role ideal for someone who enjoys solving mechanical challenges and takes pride in precision work. The company is looking for a permanent FTE employee to join their team, so someone looking for long-term stability is best suited for this position. Responsibilities

-Perform pipe welding and fitting for stainless and carbon steel systems

-Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, vendor specifications, and work orders to determine repair and installation needs

-Use TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques to repair, replace, and install equipment and piping

-Work with a variety of metals, including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and copper

-Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in process equipment

-Assist in process equipment assembly and installation projects

-Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance as needed

-Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery safely and effectively

-Complete accurate work order entries in the maintenance tracking system

-Support other maintenance and fabrication activities as assigned

Requirements:

-High school diploma or GED

-3–5 years of welding experience (industrial setting preferred), ideally 7-10 years

-Strong skills in TIG, MIG, and stick welding

-Ability to read blueprints and P&IDs

-Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand, power, and shop tools

-Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

-Commitment to safety and attention to detail

-Post-secondary certification in Welding or Mechanical Technologies

-TIG root welding experience

-Experience with pipefitting, rigging, or equipment installation
