We are a leading waste management company specializing in roll-off services throughout the Houston and surrounding areas. Our commitment to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility drives us to maintain a fleet of well-serviced roll-off trucks. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in roll-off trucks to join our dedicated team.

Job Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of roll-off trucks. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with diesel engines, specifically on roll-off or similar heavy-duty trucks, and be at least 18 years of age.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on roll-off trucks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and software.

Perform engine overhauls, brake system repairs, transmission services, and other necessary mechanical tasks.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent.

Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance without disrupting service.

Ensure all tools and equipment are in safe working condition and report any deficiencies to management.

Adhere to company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably with roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in diesel mechanics are a plus.

Licenses: Valid driver's license; CDL is preferred but not required.

Skills:

o Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for diesel engines.

o Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, brake systems, and electrical components related to roll-off trucks.

o Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

o Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

o Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoors and in inclement weather.
