What are we looking for?

We are looking for an outgoing, professional, go-getter who wants to gain experience as a Full-Time Handyman. Your role will require you to meet with homeowners and subcontractors on a daily basis. Earlier or later hours to achieve the level of performance may be required on occasion.

An LBJ Handyman has the necessary skills to perform professional maintenance routines in a client's home. These routine service calls can be anything from changing light bulbs, painting a room, and even doing basic electrical and plumbing work. Applicants with great communication and time management skills will be a good fit for this position. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years of experience in residential construction. We are happy to provide the necessary training.

We are looking for a professional handyman versed in estimating and facilitating the completion of a variety of residential home repair/remodel services, including but not limited to:

-Painting

-Drywall repair

-Tile/grout work

-Carpentry

-Plumbing (basic)

-Electrical (basic)

Required Skills:

-Ability to safely use common power and hand tools

-Strong and professional communication skills

-Basic computer skills with Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.)

-Self-starter with good time management skills

Our ideal candidate is:

-Loves to learn

Preferred but not required:

-Electrical work experience

-Plumbing work experience

-HVAC knowledge and repair skills

-Highschool diploma or GED certificate

-Bi-lingual in Spanish

Possible daily tasks:

-Meeting and completing various handyman tasks in clients’ homes

-Selling company services

-Ordering materials for projects

-Loading and unloading of materials for projects with vendors or at job sites

-Being able to maintain necessary tools for each separate day's tasks.

-Maintaining a clean company van/truck

-Typing up estimates and financial spreadsheets for projects, issuing field change orders

-Scheduling and managing sub-contractors for projects

-Reporting to supervisor/manager

-Updating all information about projects on our CRM platform

-Communicating project updates to clients
