A Foreman at DAVACO is a hands-on leader responsible for directing crews of 5–9 team members on commercial retail and restaurant projects. This role supports project execution, manages field teams, ensures quality and safety standards are met, and works alongside the crew to meet project goals.
Project Execution:
- Interpret and execute plans, layouts, and fixture drawings.
- Assign tasks, manage job site activities, and ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Perform carpentry and fixture installation duties alongside the crew.
- Monitor progress, provide quality checks, and resolve onsite challenges.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors when needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to pass background and drug screening.
- Technologically capable (smartphone, email, texting).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel and share accommodations.
Preferred Skills:
- 6–8 years of experience in commercial retail or restaurant remodels or similar
- Ability to supervise and work alongside crew.
- Knowledge of sub-trades and ability to read blueprints.
- Experience in at least 7 of the following areas:
Casework/Cabinetry, Drywall, Stud Framing, Painting, Flooring, Countertops, Ceilings, Digital Installs, Doors, Concrete, Fixture Install, Layouts & Take-offs.
Physical Requirements:
- Must lift 50+ lbs unassisted and perform physically demanding tasks (kneeling, climbing, etc.).
