Role Description:
The Parts Coordinator is an important role within the operations department at Depco. This is a full-time on-site role in Houston, TX. The Parts Coordinator role consists of, but not limited to, assisting service supervisors and technicians with parts needs. This position may also involve additional tasks assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse operations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office/warehouse environment, occasionally exposed to noise, dust, forklift traffic, and hazardous materials.
Responsibilities:
Perform cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory.
Recognize the correct component as a solution to repair needs.
Support the operations staff by completing various general administrative tasks, such as creating purchase orders and invoicing.
Assist with shipping and receiving duties.
The Parts Coordinator must ensure timely processing of return warranty parts and core returns, which is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy.
Ordering and checking parts.
Process parts orders.
Maintaining a back-order report.
Maintain an accurate spreadsheet of parts requisitions and complete orders.
Operate a forklift.
Professional communication regarding part status and updates.
Data entry into ERP/WMS software for inventory control.
Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Communication and Customer Service skills.
Customer Satisfaction and Inventory Control skills.
Experience in Parts Ordering.
Experience working within an ERP (SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.).
Warehouse inventory control.
Experience managing ecommerce sites and software.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Previous experience in the power systems or equipment industry is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
