Volt is hiring Rocket Launch Simulation Developersfor a Space Program located at HOUSTON, Texas.JOB DESCRIPTION:Rocket launch simulation developers to assist in simulations areas of Simulation framework, I/O gap, model fidelity and simulation certification.Assist in the development of Embedded Simulation Software Engineering across the complete software lifecycle – requirements analysis and design, software design, documentation, code development, unit and integration test, debugging/troubleshooting both in development and laboratory environments using simulated and real hardware and system integration testing.Requires a flexible with work schedule due to limited laboratory hardware resources. May include second shift and/or weekend work.Real-time design, and hardware/software integration experience is required.Candidates must have working knowledge of C/C, MATLAB, XML, Linux, VxWorks, real-time design and hardware/software integration experience. Also prefer working knowledge of RS-422, Mil 1553 bus, general VME bus standards.Prefer candidates with engineering understanding of, at least some, the sub systems like SIGI, IPC, NDS, VESTA, EPU, Batteries, PCA.Education / Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.As a Volt employee, you can expect the highest level of support.
