BGS Transport LLC, a leading commercial truck carrier serving in Flat bed and Dry van freight, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sales Representative to focus on winning contracts with direct shippers and manufacturers. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and successfully negotiating contracts that drive long-term revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled sales professional with an in-depth understanding of the commercial trucking industry, capable of securing partnerships with shippers and manufacturers. You will be an integral part of a high-performing trucking company, contributing to the growth and expansion of our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and Pursue Leads: Research and prospect direct shippers and manufacturers to generate new business opportunities.

Develop Sales Strategies: Create tailored sales strategies to target and win long-term contracts with key shippers and manufacturers.

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, lasting relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders in shipping and manufacturing companies.

Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable shipping rates, service terms, and contracts to secure partnerships.

Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, competitor strategies, and market conditions to effectively position our services.

Sales Targets & Reporting: Meet or exceed sales targets for new contract acquisitions and revenue growth. Maintain detailed records of sales activity, customer interactions, and progress towards goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution and service delivery once contracts are secured.

Client Retention & Expansion: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, proactively address client needs, and identify opportunities for expanding contracts and services.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in commercial truck sales, logistics, transportation, or a related field with a focus on direct shippers and manufacturers.

Strong understanding of commercial trucking services, freight solutions, and transportation pricing models.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives and decision-makers.

Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills, with a track record of successfully closing contracts.

Ability to analyze customer needs and create customized solutions that deliver value.

Goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Knowledge of freight management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Self-driven with a proactive approach to finding new business opportunities.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
