Miller Lifting Products, a well-known lifting equipment manufacturer located in Houston, South Loop East area, is looking for a Lead Warehouse Associate.
This job requires you to be flexible to manage daily tasks, and to be able to work unsupervised and independently. This job requires a very high attention to detail. This is a full-time position.
Roles and Responsibilities
Pick items per picking tickets
Perform pre-shipment inspections and documentation, add product labeling
Perform basic assembly tasks using hand/power tools, compressed air tools, metal banding
Cut and attached wood pieces as needed to shore up pallets and crates
Pack/palletize heavy, metal items securely for shipping
Ship orders using UPS ship software as well as make LTL arrangements
Perform physical inventory cycle counts, maintain accuracy, and update system
Learn and use new processes and procedures
Unload cargo containers
Other duties as assigned by site manager
Maintain general cleanliness of warehouse and equipment
Open and close site daily
Education, and Skills
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience
Warehouse production, packaging, shipping and receiving, and logistics
Forklift operation required
Requires heavy lifting and continual movement
Must be able to speak, read and write English
Basic computer skills is a must
Must have own transportation and a valid driver license
Be able to work dedicated hours, be on time, be productive, be able to work unsupervised
Be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
