Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of goods. This role involves managing warehouse staff, coordinating logistics, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in optimizing warehouse performance to support overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision and Leadership

- Manage and oversee the performance of warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.

Operations Management

- Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.

- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and shipping.

- Monitor workflow and adjust processes to improve efficiency.

Inventory Control

- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy.

- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of goods through warehouse management systems.

- Minimize loss or damage to inventory by enforcing proper handling practices.

Safety and Compliance

- Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations.

- Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve potential hazards.

- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement

- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

- Collaborate with other departments to align warehouse operations with company goals.

Qualifications and Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.

- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.

- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as needed.
