Help Wanted: Utility Crew for 7-Acre Underground Utilities Project
We are seeking a skilled utility crew for a 7-acre underground utilities project. The crew should consist of the following:
Foreman
Machinery Operator
2 Pipe Layers
Responsibilities:
Foreman:
o Oversee and manage daily operations of the crew
o Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications and safety standards
o Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders
o Provide guidance and support to crew members
Machinery Operator:
o Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and trenchers
o Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery
o Assist with loading and unloading materials
o Ensure safety protocols are followed while operating equipment
Pipe Layers:
o Install and maintain underground pipes for utilities (water, sewer, gas, etc.)
o Lay and connect pipes according to blueprints and specifications
o Perform trench work and backfill operations
o Test piping systems for leaks and ensure proper function
Requirements:
Foreman:
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility construction
o Strong leadership and communication skills
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
o Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications
Machinery Operator:
o Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy machinery in construction
o Certification to operate heavy equipment
o Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols
o Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
Pipe Layers:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in laying underground pipes
o Ability to read and follow project plans and specifications
o Familiarity with different types of pipes and materials
o Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
Subject to:
Valid TDL a MUST in good standing with good driving record
Drug testing for employment
Random Drug testing
Employment review screening
Federal clearance screening
Dependable transportation
Ability to work flexible schedule (weekends and unscheduled hours outside normal work hours).
