10. We'll have positions in the near future to work out of our company trucks but for the time being we're hiring personnel with work trucks already.
As a Landscape Irrigation Technician with our company, you'll provide residential and commercial clients with irrigation system services. This will include setting up systems, inspecting and assessing them, optimizing, troubleshooting, and completing repairs, and upgrades when necessary. You'll need to identify potential problems, recommend solutions for clients, and ensure all issues are taken care of until resolution.
Responsibilities:
Work independently and as a team on all irrigation system installations, repairs, and upgrades.
Prepare estimates on-site and present them to customers.
Conduct a service call and evaluate the irrigation system when needed.
Install or troubleshoot smart irrigation controllers and set up zones for optimal water coverage.
Teach customers how to use the system in a friendly manner.
Interact with customers, colleagues, and vendors in a professional manner.
Demonstrate expertise in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and related components including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, PVB/backflow preventers, etc.
Perform seasonal maintenance of irrigation systems for turn-on and winterization.
Qualifications:
At least one year of working experience in irrigation system installation or repair.
Proficiency with tools, devices, methods, skills, components, and mechanics of irrigation systems.
Ability to operate equipment such as trenching machines and digging tools related to grounds and landscaping.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Experience in landscape lighting & drainage is a plus!
Valve locating experience is a plus!
