Parts Prepper & Receiver
Our growing company is seeking to hire a Parts Prepper & Receiver to join our team. This will be a dual job position and will be responsible for completing all paint preparation processes for vehicle parts and assisting painters with their work. Additionally, this position will assist our receiving department to ensure our company meets production goals and customer expectations.
Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, able to learn quickly, and have great communication skills. Will have a high school diploma or equivalent and some college is a plus. Positive, goal-driven attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
Hours will be M - F (8 am - 5 pm)
Auto Body Prepper & Receiver Responsibilities:
-Must know how to fix or repair dents
-Follow the process given without deviation unless discussed with management
-Store and organize prepped automotive parts
-Locate and situate parts in racks for painters to find easily
-Utilize fillers and sandpaper to repair any imperfections or damages to parts
-Work with DA or Air powered tools to sand parts
-Know different sanding techniques per part to achieve the proper method for the paint to adhere
-Use of safety gear at all times in the department
-Accountable for upkeep all equipment assigned
-Order materials that are needed
-Keep a clean and organized workstation
-Record and note issues daily on parts worked on
-Troubleshoot issues that arise
-Average a minimum of 20 parts daily
-Work efficiently and be able to accept correct items in a fast pace environment
-Know the different types of automotive parts
-Familiar with different makes, models, and sub-models of vehicles
-Store and organize automotive parts in the proper place
-Able to identify damages that should be rejected by the vendor
-Update the order management system accurately at the end or between shifts.
-Always utilize safety equipment to prevent injury
-Provide an Invoice to the purchaser to receive payment from the vendor
-Keep a clean and organized workstation
-Complete checking in the process by the end of the day
-Learn and apply prepping techniques to new auto parts
-Assist prepping department in meeting production goals
-Other warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements:
-AUTOMOTIVE/BODY WORK EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
-Needs to know how to fix golf-size ball dents, plastic repair broken tabs and/or 3 inch breaks. Repair fiberglass and able to use an HVLP gun to lay primer if needed
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Basic computer skills (Word, Email, Google Docs, etc)
-Physically able to stand and bend for hours at a time
-Lift up to 60 pounds
-Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
-Communicates well with others
-High attention to detail
-Follow the Process to the T
-Positive and eager-to-learn attitude
