JOB TITLE: Scrap Metal Inspector

LOCATION: Houston, Texas 77088
PAY: $15/hr.
SCHEDULE: 8:30 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday / 8 am - 1 pm, Saturday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examine the customer's incoming material to determine the ferrous commodity.
Determine what commodity to purchase the material.
Inspect product to determine compliance with the company's specifications, quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping conformity to specified standards.
Writes a ticket of approval or rejection on inbound material.
Perform other duties such as maintaining the grounds.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
One to three months related experience and/or training working in a scrap metal yard.
Bilingual: English and Spanish.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must be able to carry between 25-70 lbs.
Must be able to work in inclement weather.
