Job Title: Pallet Builder
Location: Cypress, Texas
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Manager and to Better
Business Staffing LLC., dba BBS.
Job Summary:
The Pallet Builder is responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining
pallets used for the storage and transportation of goods within the
warehouse. This requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a focus
on safety to ensure the pallets are built to specification and are safe for use
in the shipping and storage of products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pallet Construction:
o Build pallets from raw materials, including wood, plastic, or
metal, according to warehouse specifications and customer
requirements.
o Ensure pallets are constructed to standard sizes and weight
limits for proper storage and transportation.
o Use power tools and hand tools to assemble pallets securely.
2. Pallet Repair and Maintenance:
o Inspect and repair damaged pallets to extend their usability and
maintain inventory levels.
o Replace broken or worn-out components such as slats, nails,
and other structural parts.
o Test completed pallets to ensure they meet safety standards
and weight capacity.
3. Inventory Management:
o Monitor and maintain inventory of pallet materials, ensuring an
adequate stock of wood, nails, and other supplies.
o Work with warehouse teams to track pallet usage and inform
supervisors of material shortages.
o Label and organize finished pallets for storage and easy
retrieval.
4. Quality Control:
o Inspect completed pallets for defects or weaknesses that could
impact their safety or functionality.
o Ensure all pallets are sturdy, level, and meet company and
industry standards.
o Report any issues with pallet quality or materials to the
supervisor.
5. Safety and Compliance:
o Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines when using
power tools and other equipment.
o Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures to
prevent accidents and injuries.
o Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as
gloves, goggles, and steel-toed boots.
6. Team Collaboration:
o Work with warehouse staff to ensure pallets are available as
needed for shipping and storage operations.
o Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues with pallet
production or materials.
o Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work
environment.
7. General Warehouse Support:
o Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including
moving pallets, stacking goods, and organizing storage areas.
o Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with general
warehouse maintenance tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or construction
setting is preferred, especially in pallet building or assembly.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.),
work with tools, and stand for long periods.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and pallet
construction techniques.
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise instructions and ensure
high-quality results in all pallets builds.
Safety Awareness: Understanding and adherence to warehouse
safety practices, including the safe handling of materials and
equipment.
Working Conditions:
Shift: Schedule will vary, 8 hours per day, with an hour’s lunch and
overtime as well.
Location: Warehouse environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and
temperature fluctuations.
Physical Demands: The position requires physical strength and
stamina, including standing, bending, and lifting.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have a Resume, no exceptions.
Must be able to communicate and speak efficiently and clearly.
Must be a Collaborator, responsible, efficient, and honest.
Must be able to work in a face paced environment yet pay diligence.
Must have reliable transportation, a personal owned vehicle, no uber
nor Metro bus system, you must have reliable transportation to get to
your place of employment, no exception.
Must be 18 years.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening test,
absolutely no felonies accepted and must have been cleared for the
past 7 years.
