Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Stud Carpenter to join our construction team in the Katy Area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and installing metal stud framing for walls, ceilings, and partitions in commercial and residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
Measure, cut, and assemble metal studs and tracks for framing interior walls, ceilings, and bulkheads.
Install drywall backing, blocking, and bracing as needed.
Ensure all framing is level, plumb, and properly secured.
Use a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., screw guns, saws, lasers, levels).
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
Collaborate with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines.
Report progress and issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a metal stud framer or general carpenter.
Strong knowledge of metal stud framing techniques and materials.
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
Good physical condition; ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
Must have won tools
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA 10/30 certification.
Experience with drywall installation and acoustic ceiling systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Work Environment:
Construction sites (indoor/outdoor).
May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or in variable weather conditions
