Porter/Helper is responsible for performing a variety of duties as it relates to receiving/inspecting and
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
Inspect assigned vehicles for any mechanical/cosmetic issues and report to supervisor
Clean interior and exterior
Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed.
Maintains building and ground as needed
Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
What are the requirements for this job?
6-12 months of work experience in an automotive repair facility desired
6-12 months of previous work experience detailing cars desired
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle machinery safely
Demonstrated customer service skills
Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance
Valid driver's license desired but not required for the job
Ability to operate an automobile
Must be authorized to work in the US (no exceptions)
Must be able to pass Mandatory Drug screening (we test randomly every few months)
Bilingual a big plus
What does the job pay?
Starting salary is dependent on your experience; our base starting hourly wages are $12 to $15 per hour (depending on experience) with a review in 90 days. If you have previous detailing, buffing, wet sanding, auto repair or supervisory experience salary will be higher (depending on experience). Please keep in mind you will have overtime almost every week. Average work week is 43 hours, 40 hours straight time anything over is time and a half.
We do reviews often and adjust salaries based on job performance
