Medical Assistant- Sleep Coordinator

We are seeking a professional and dependable Medical Assistant to join our team at a reputable sleep diagnostics facility. While prior sleep experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates initiative and a commitment to excellence.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Scheduling and preparing diagnostic equipment for patients undergoing home sleep studies

Coordinating efficient delivery routes

Registering units and ensuring proper triage for reporting

Providing exceptional patient care and customer service

Explaining insurance coverage and costs to patients clearly and professionally

Assisting with sales-related tasks, such as offering additional services or supplies when appropriate

Requirements:

Strong sense of responsibility and reliability

Excellent punctuality and attendance

Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and problem solving

Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and customer service

Professional demeanor with proficient written and spoken communication skills

Knowledge of insurance processes and the ability to explain costs to patients

Some sales experience or comfort with discussing services and products with patients

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in sleep diagnostics, respiratory therapy, or related medical assisting roles

Familiarity with diagnostic equipment setup and scheduling workflows
