Job Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced Chinese Wok Cook with a passion for authentic Chinese cuisine and expertise in traditional wok techniques. This role involves preparing high-quality, flavorful dishes quickly and efficiently, ensuring the freshest ingredients are used to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, including stir-fries, noodles, and rice-based meals, using traditional wok-cooking techniques.
Master and apply precise seasoning, flavor balance, and high-heat cooking methods.
Manage all aspects of prep work, including ingredient freshness and portion control, to ensure efficient service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
Consistently monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chinese Wok Cook or in a similar role in an authentic Chinese kitchen.
Deep understanding of Chinese ingredients, seasonings, sauces, and wok-cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service times.
Strong attention to detail, focusing on flavor, consistency, and presentation.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle the demands of high-heat cooking.
