Courtesy and tact in dealing with guests, co-workers, as well as others in the community.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare Meals for catering events.
Communicate with staff involved with scheduling catering clients regarding menu requests, special delivery request
Be the liaison between the clients and chef.
Prepare, assemble and set up catering requests for delivery.
Deliver, set up and serve catered events.
Clean up and return catered events to pantries.
Maintain “on time” delivery schedule for catered events.
Act as the “Guest Services Contact” between catered event participants and facility
Perform “other” job-related duties as assigned by management, which achieve the established goals.
Take weekly inventory of catering items and record in spreadsheet
Daily Responsibilities:
Check emails regarding catering changes or requests.
Responsible for preparing cold menu items for cafe daily
Review with Catering Chef scheduled catering events for the day.
Review assigned catering deliveries and plan delivery schedule.
Assemble and set up assigned catering requests for delivery.
Cook, Prepare, Deliver, set up and serve (if requested) catered events.
Maintain an “ongoing” organization of catering kitchen storage area and pantries.
Retrieve catered deliveries at scheduled event end time. Clean room and return product and equipment to pantry.
Secure pantry storage area at end of service period. Wrap, label, date and properly store all food ingredients in accordance to safe food handling techniques, practices and guidelines.
Clean and organize catering kitchen, pantries and equipment as directed by supervisor.
Stock catering kitchen and pantries with non-food, food and beverage supplies as directed.
Coordinate with Catering Chef & Supervisor requirements for the next day’s prep.
Assist in café unit location as directed by supervisor and as dictated by scheduled catering events agenda and manages the staff working in the café.
