A bagel baker is responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our bagels and pastries. This includes preparing and mixing dough, shaping and proofing bagels, boiling and baking them to perfection, and adding toppings or fillings as needed. Bagel bakers must also monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and other variables to ensure that bagels are cooked properly and have the desired texture and flavor.
In addition to baking duties, bagel bakers are typically responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. They may also be involved in ordering and stocking ingredients, as well as assisting with inventory management.
Bagel bakers should have a strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. They should also have a passion for baking and a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and recipes. Experience in a bakery or food service setting is preferred for this role.
