Email a Friend Save SaveApply NowPosition Description:Job Purpose and Scope:Responsible for supporting lending efforts by performing the analysis, underwriting, origination, monitoring and servicing of loans of varying degree of complexity and attention to detail across the Corporate & Institutional Banking (“CIB”) division. Underwrites and reviews credit memorandums and ensures all due diligence is complete and accurate and in compliance with the policies and procedures of the CIB - portfolio management, underwriting, and operations. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining credit relationships within CIB division.Essential Job Functions:
Ensures thorough, accurate, and timely servicing of the loan portfolio in compliance with Bank’s Loan Policy.
Monitors risk within the loan portfolio to ensure potential challenges are identified well in advance and communicated to borrowers and upper management so that timely resolutions result in mitigation of Bank’s risk.
Ensures underwriting is thorough, accurate, and incorporates detailed risk analysis mitigation that aligns with the Bank’s standards, policies, and credit risk appetite.
Provides financial analysis, analytical, and underwriting support to business lines within the CIB.
Collaborates on underwriting guidelines and expectations, develops required loan presentation content and standardized approaches, and recommends updates, as appropriate.
Manages assigned credit transactions, ensuring the loan requests are handled efficiently and processed in a timely manner, consistent with the Bank’s standards and Service Level Agreements.
Communicates with lenders, credit officers, and management at all levels of the organization regarding specifics concerning approved and declined loans.
Tracks, monitors, and reports activity on loan applications and decisions, including maintaining a record of loan applications received and booked.
Maintains the independence of the underwriting function and the recommendation of the initial credit risk rating.
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
Reviews and recommends updates to relevant sections of Loan Policy to upper management.
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or job-related field, required.
Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in Corporate Banking, required.
Successful completion of a formal credit training program, preferred.
