Job Title: NDT Level II- Travel Per Diem OpportunityJob DescriptionWe are seeking skilled NDT Level II inspectors with documented qualifications and certifications in PT(II), VT(II), and MT(II) methods according to ASNT's SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition or later. The successful candidates will have passed general theory, procedure-specific examinations, and practical exams for the applicable methods. They will be responsible for operating necessary NDT equipment, recording, and analyzing information while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry.Responsibilities
Perform MT inspections on structural welds in a shop environment.
Operate necessary NDT equipment and record and analyze results.
Pass general theory, procedure-specific, and practical exams for applicable NDT methods.
Conduct visual acuity exams using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches.
Maintain a minimum of 4 years of continuous experience as a certified inspector in applicable methods.
Provide current certification documentation including training and experience records, exam results, and vision test records.
Perform minor grinding for relevancy checks during the MT inspection process.
Climb vertical ladders, crawl in tanks and confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Adhere to OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry.
Essential Skills
Minimum 4 years of NDT experience.
Current VT and MT certifications showing Level II.
Documented training hours.
Ability to pass written general theory and procedure-specific examinations.
Ability to pass practical examinations for applicable methods.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
