Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Litigation Paralegal in Houston, Texas. This role will be pivotal in servicing all phases of the legal system, under the supervision of an attorney. The successful candidate will be responsible for tasks including litigation support, drafting documents, monitoring deadlines, conducting legal research, and managing communication with stakeholders.Responsibilities: Efficiently process and manage new client files for mediations, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations. Oversee and train legal assistants, Jr. paralegals, and summer law clerks. Conduct legal research, extensive trial preparation, attend trials, and manage documents. Draft correspondence, pleadings, and e-filings as needed. Provide litigation support for trial preparation, mediation, and depositions, including preparing witnesses for trial. Adhere to office policies and procedures at all times. Monitor and comply with discovery deadlines and deadlines per scheduling order as well as various state and federal courts’ policies. Manage, organize, and maintain documents in both paper and electronic systems in line with the firm’s retention policy. Perform document review, document production, and manage communication with stakeholders. Collaborate and coordinate with experts and witnesses as needed. Requirements Applicant must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal. Proficiency in 3M is a requirement for this position. Familiarity with Aderant is essential for this role. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is required for this position. Knowledge of athenahealth is necessary for this role. Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is essential. Capability to conduct Briefing is a key requirement. Strong skills in Calendar Management are needed for this position. Experience in Claim Administration is a necessary requirement. Excellent Communication skills are essential for this role. Proficiency in Complaint Handling is required for this position.
