LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Processing Specialist to join our specimen management team in Houston, TX. This role involves resolving sample-related issues using various laboratory systems and providing solutions through email and phone communications to ensure all client needs are met accurately and efficiently.Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm with occasional SaturdaysBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Job Duties/Responsibilities Act as liaison between LabCorp, the customer base and patients Researches, troubleshoots and resolves customer and account problems Speak with customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner using protocol procedures Inquire, clarify, and confirm customer requirements and understanding of the solution Troubleshoot any specimen related issues Assist the department in resolving any issues Performs a wide variety of administrative/clerical dutiesRequirements

High School Diploma or equivalent w/1-2 years of experience

Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred

Comfortability with handling biological specimens

Ability to accurately identify specimens

Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills

High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turn-around times

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

Must pass a standardized color blindness test

Flexibility to work overtime as needed
