Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Senior Inside Sales Engineer. This is a hybrid-based position and candidates for this role must reside within 50 miles of our Houston, TX location to be considered for this position. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside of this location.What you’ll do:Position Overview:The primary function of an Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) role will be to support management, outside sales engineers and internal/external customers in providing effective solutions to challenging problems involving technical, service, and commercial issues in the Eaton Electrical Sales Division. Responsibilities include but are not limited to closing orders based upon expertise developed in selling skills and technical knowledge, selling abilities to position Eaton Electrical into preferred position in market and customer activity, providing technical knowledge regarding products/services and negotiating & pricing OEM projects. This role also sells assigned product lines to targeted customers in designated geography or industry with the objective of optimizing sales volume, product mix, and profit margin. The ISE provides technical product support for distributors and other duties that may be assigned by the local manager.The inside sales engineer is to act as a technical and commercial resource to field sales, customers and distributors for quotations and project management of power distribution, power protection and power equipment maintenance. This role primarily serves the needs of Electrical Original Equipment Manufacturer (EOEM) in the Gulf region’s territory.Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Review and interpret customer needs on new opportunities; determine the minimum bill of material, most competitive price level and shipment cycle within the market segment pertaining to each specific negotiation

Proactively facilitate timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing available resources or creating procedures for resolution

Coordinate warranty and non-warranty repairs and returns, which include shipping issues or service requests

Project manage small to medium projects on as needed basis

Establish and maintain the highest possible commercial relations with present and potential customers (internal and external) by effectively employing the highest level of skills with regard to the art of salesmanship, application engineering, product knowledge, knowledge of customers business and organization and knowledge of Eaton product lines strategic plans for sales growth

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Minimum three (3) years of electrical industry experience

Possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution

Experience managing sales-related projects

Experience with sales target/lead generation

Experience with functional oversight/leadership of remote team members

Skills:Position Criteria:

Possess excellent communication skills

Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Ability to analyze sales data and provide recommendations to outside sales engineers

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Ability to formalize project quotations from limited request information and to recognize and clarify missing or inaccurate information

Ability to analyze and delegate tactical responsibilities to remote support team members

Ability to travel up to 10%

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $78,800 - $115,500.Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.We know that good benefit programs are important to employees and their families.
