Description We are looking for a highly experienced, detailed-oriented Senior Counsel with a fantastic track record in Oil and Gas area to join our team. The primary responsibility will be to manage a wide range of legal matters relevant to upstream, midstream, and downstream energy businesses. The Senior Counsel is expected to provide strategic legal counseling and guidance to our oil and gas business units, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice on a wide range of issues relevant to the oil and gas industry, including transactional matters, intellectual property, contracts, compliance, regulatory, and business matters.

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating business documents, contracts, licenses, and vendor service agreements.

Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues affecting the oil and gas industry.

Develop and implement company policies and procedures pertaining to legal issues in the oil and gas sector.

Provide advice and training to company officials and staff on legal subjects.

Establish legal strategies and plans that align with the business's overall goals.

Work with external counsel and manage the preparation for trials and hearings.

Develop strategies to manage and reduce potential legal risks and compliance issues.

Requirements

Education:

J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Membership in good standing with the state bar association. (TX)

Requirements:

A minimum of 7 years of experience as a practicing lawyer within the oil and gas industry.

Familiarity with laws and regulations related to oil and gas industry and energy sector generally.

Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to present and defend positions effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.

High levels of professionalism, work ethic, independence, and possessing superb judgment skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Team player with the ability to build relationships across various organizational levels.
