The primary purpose of the Senior Compliance Analyst, Billing & Reimbursement Compliance (BRC) position is to perform complex billing & reimbursement compliance audits and investigations and manage education and outreach efforts This role is a remote position and will be required to report to campus for business related needs as they arise.KEY FUNCTIONSAudits/Investigations/Special ReviewsIndependently conducts focused audits and investigations into information sensitive areas of suspected billing & reimbursement non-compliance.Effectively evaluates audits and investigation results with appropriate consideration of relevance and accuracy. Formulates conclusions and recommendations based on accumulated audit evidence.Prepares timely, thorough, clear, and concise written reports of compliance audits and investigations.Effectively communicates audit results and recommendations to BRC management and appropriate providers and leaders.Education, Training and OutreachProvides education and training on BRC requirements to the MD Anderson workforce, either as part of a corrective and preventive action plan, specialized education or routine education or training activities of the BRC program.Serves on Institutional Compliance Committees, Sub-Committees, and Work Groups.EDUCATIONRequired: Bachelor's degree.Preferred: Master's degree.EXPERIENCERequired: Six years of experience in a compliance related field or in research, information technology, cybersecurity, healthcare administration and/or general business as an analyst, auditor, or fraud investigator. With preferred degree, four years of experience required. May substitute required degree with additional years of related experience on a one-to-one basis.Preferred: Strong knowledge of professional billing and reimbursement processes, along with understanding of coding standards and regulatory bodies (e.g., Office of Inspector General, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Novitas Solutions, etc.). Demonstrated ability to work independently, adapt to evolving situations, and make sound, well-informed decisions.
