The selected candidate will be responsible for installation of structured cabling, security solutions, and other low voltage solutions for new construction projects and existing customer locations. Responsible for installation and service of systems and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Use a variety of tools, blueprints, engineering specifications, notebook PCs, to install, diagnose, repair, and program Security & Low Voltage equipment.

Plan and prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining the building layout, anticipating difficulties, staging materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.

Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance programs, equipment inspection and functionality checks, identifying wear, maladjustment, miscalibration, malfunction, and drift.

Terminate network cables (Cat5, Cat 6/Cat6A, optical fiber, etc.)

Set up and terminate network racks, trays, and associated equipment in technology rooms.

Document work completion and project status through paperwork and devices such as notebooks, iPad, on each job.

Create schedules, checklists/punch lists throughout construction project and closeout process.

Represent the company by serving as direct customer contact.

Support SLV Technicians by providing field support.

Utilize project plans and documentation to prioritize and schedule work.

Determine parts to order for repairs.

Work as part of a team or team lead.

Qualifications:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Professional appearance.

Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.

Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Desire to learn and grow in a fast moving, ever changing technical field.

Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Must pass background and drug screen tests.

Able to travel locally and remotely as required.

Able to work after-hours or on shifts.

Climb ladders.

Carry items up to 75 pounds.

Education and/or Experience Required:

High school diploma or equivalent, trade schools or certificates.

0-2+ years installing SLV solutions and/or electrical systems preferred.

Electronics training from a Technical School or Military preferred.

Recognized industry certification from IT programs, BICSI, Security, AV, or any other recognized program preferred.
