Title: Project ManagerLocation:Houston, TX (hybrid)Duration: 12+ month contractWork Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the USJob SummaryReporting to the Director of Innovation & Business Optimization, this position is responsible for managing the project plan that support the Shared Services Transformation at the company. Duties include ensuring projects are clearly defined (scope, time, cost, and resources), tracked and controlled through their lifecycle, and appropriately reported and communicated according to existing governance model.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects of varying complexity simultaneously
- Follow PMO methodology to manage scopes, schedules, and budgets for assigned projects
- Provide teams, including senior leaders, with regular communications regarding project status, outstanding risks, issues, any necessary change controls, and next steps
- Take extreme ownership of assigned projects and manage them to completion
- Effectively influence both internal and external project team members to achieve project goals
- Conduct regular project status meetings
- Collaborate effectively with resources assigned to perform technical tasks in support of projects
- Proactively identify, assess, record, and mitigate risks to successful project completion
- Identify project risks in advance of them pushing projects off-track, and coming up with risk mitigation strategies
- Work collaboratively across departments to help improve management and delivery of projects.
- Facilitate or assist in facilitation of continuous improvement activities including streamlining and introducing innovation to impact results, reducing wasted money and time
- Drives delivery and execution of select projects/ work streams, including both longer term global initiatives and shorter-term process improvements.
- Contributes to the Project scoping and planning by documenting project goals, requirements, KPIs, roadmap and main deliverables, tracks completion of project milestones and maintains project artifacts.
- Interacts with project sponsors, project stakeholders and multiple business and technical teams to define and document requirements, key design decisions and complex features.
- Works with the Organizational Change Management team to ensure appropriate communication planning, stakeholder analysis, and change management activities.
- Adheres to and helps improve internal governance and program management standards across the Shared Services Transformation Program Management Office.
- Experience: Minimum 10 Manage projects end-to-end, working with business subject matter experts
- Provide teams, including senior leaders, with regular communications regarding project status, outstanding risks, issues, any necessary change controls, and next steps
- Business Process Improvement, Business Process Mapping
- Power BI experience
- years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or equivalent experience in Business Administration or similar area of study.
- PMP or other project management certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); Conveys information and directions clearly and accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, pleasant phone manner and professional attitude
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, resourceful, and self-directed.
- Able to work as an individual contributor or a member of a multidisciplinary team
