The primary purpose of the Program Manager, Meyers Institute of Oncology Nursing (MION) position is to perform complex program support and administrative duties requiring independent judgment and decision making. Responsible for working closely with Meyers Institute of Oncology Nursing (MION) program leaders and participants collaboratively. Requires relevant understanding of the entire program from the program application forward. Program Manager may coordinate the work of other administrative support staff for the MION programs.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree with at least five years of related experience to include three years of program management experience. Must possess critical thinking skills, self-confident, innovative and adaptable.Key Functions: Manage and track initiatives/projects, proactively providing effective and accountable outcomes. In collaboration with the program Directors, Executive Leadership, and/or project managers, review project scopes to ascertain how best to provide administrative support; at a minimum, help assign timelines; assist or handle data collection and reporting; assure accuracy and timeliness related to project scope(s). Create/functionally utilize applications for databases, graphics, presentations, charts and tables; generate tracking mechanisms, input relevant data, and distribute accordingly. Collaborate with institutional offices to remove barriers that will impede goals of the MION programs. Lead program participants orientation, coordinates with departments and other stake holders. Manage Meyers Institute program calendar(s) ensuring all are accurate and updated as often as necessary. Schedule/facilitate meetings and committee activities proactively and/or at the request of the MION program Directors or Executive Leadership.Financial Responsibility Oversee the financial expenditures of assigned programs. Will require ongoing collaboration with institution's Financial Office. Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to purchasing and expenses. Gain approval for financial expenditures; create purchase requests. If assigned ProCard, handle fiduciary oversight and timely reporting.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTSEducationRequired: Bachelor's Degree.ExperienceRequired: Five years related experience to include three years program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
