This Position is Contingent with Contract Award – Role is based on the Coast of Africa. This post is in support of a US Government Facility on the Coast of Africa. Using skills and expertise that you have honed will contribute to the success of future missions. The Advanced Practitioners roles as Physician’s Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) will support International SOS in providing a comprehensive range of medical care to US government employees and contractors. Clinics are responsible for a variety of on-site primary, urgent, and initial emergency care services. The Advanced practitioner is responsible for leadership and management of clinic staff.   Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee medical staff at a DOS/DOS healthcare clinic. Collaborate with on-site physicians, other APPs, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care. Participate in the assessment and stabilization of patients requiring urgent or emergent care. Provide comprehensive primary and continuing care to patients presenting with a wide range of health concerns. Clinic services include, but are not limited to health promotion and disease prevention, health maintenance counselling and patient education, diagnosis and directed physical exams, emergent and annual vaccinations, comprehensive STD Testing Manage simple chronic conditions through intermittent monitoring. Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Maintain compliance with all project site procedures, standards, and continuing educational and mandatory training requirements. Coordinate with medical evacuation teams for patients requiring care beyond the capabilities of the clinic. Participate in MASCAL exercises. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
