This position is contingent on contract award.This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program.  The person in this position will represent International SOS and provide services outlined below: International SOS is looking for an individual who is an experienced phlebotomist to safely and efficiently collect blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing, transfusions, or research purposes, while ensuring patient comfort and adherence to safety protocols. This role is crucial in supporting healthcare providers by obtaining accurate laboratory results essential for effective patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws.  Perform sample processing and send out preparation. Positively identify patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting. Safeguards electronic and paper patient information.  Independently test, evaluate, document, and report patient testing and Quality Control (QC). Identify, document, and resolve any collection, processing, testing or reporting issues.  Assure patient-centered care and provide service in a manner that is professional and avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
