Partnered with Anesthesiology and Critical Care, the Nursing Division, and the Surgery division, this multidisciplinary team performs more than 15,000 surgical cases each year in more than 30 operating rooms spanning the Main Building and Mays Clinic.The ideal candidate for the Patient Care Technician in PACU will have experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant. Should have direct patient contact and be able to take vital signs, blood sugar, and weight. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSActs as a member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information.
