Description We are seeking a Network Engineer with hands-on experience in managing and configuring Palo Alto Networks devices. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance network infrastructures for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and routing, with a strong emphasis on Palo Alto Networks solutions.
Design, implement, and manage network solutions with a primary focus on Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security appliances.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and network security solutions.
Manage and maintain firewalls, routing, and switching configurations to ensure optimal performance and security.
Ensure high availability and reliability of network systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
Perform regular network security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, risk assessment, and compliance reporting.
Implement and manage network security policies, access control, and traffic inspection using Palo Alto Networks devices.
Assist with network design and architecture improvements, recommending new technologies and solutions as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, working closely with other IT teams to maintain a secure and stable environment.
Maintain documentation related to network configurations, topology, and security policies.
Provide support for network-related incidents and outages, ensuring timely resolution.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging network security technologies, particularly related to Palo Alto Networks.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on network security.
Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (Next-Generation Firewalls - NGFW) and related security appliances.
Proficient in network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, and VPN technologies.
Experience with routing, switching, and troubleshooting tools.
Hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls.
Understanding of security best practices, intrusion detection, and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar).
Ability to manage network traffic analysis and perform risk assessments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
