This Position is Contingent with Contract Award – Role is based on the Coast of Africa. This post is in support of a US Government Facility on the Coast of Africa. Using skills and expertise that you have honed will contribute to the success of future missions. The Medical Receptionist would represent International SOS on this US government facility and is responsible for managing the front desk operations of a healthcare facility, ensuring efficient patient scheduling, handling billing and insurance inquiries, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and a welcoming environment. This position serves as a critical communication link between patients and healthcare providers, facilitating smooth administrative processes. Key Responsibilities:Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling to optimize the clinic's workflow. Greet patients upon arrival, verify personal and insurance information, and process payments at the end of their visit. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages between patients and healthcare providers. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with confidentiality regulations. Assist patients with billing inquiries and insurance claims processing, including verification of coverage and eligibility. Maintain a tidy reception area and manage office supplies to support daily operations. Assist with referrals and coordinate follow-up appointments or tests as directed by healthcare providers. Follow protocols for handling emergencies or urgent situations, ensuring patient safety and timely care. This list is non-exhaustive, and the role holder may be required to undertake additional duties that are not specifically listed above.
